Come along and burn some austerity policies. Bring a placard of a policy you want to burn!

We’re going to be making some noise in the centre of town so as well as placards, come in fancy dress, bring drums, whistles, horns or anything else that will grab attention.

Please help give the event a final plug today!

We will be asking Care UK to repay the NHS the £2.7 million, money which went unspent in 2012/13 from their annual fixed block grant of £6.6 million.

Bedroom Tax campaign protest & rally to mark handing in of petition
City Hall, College Green

Local residents from different localities who have been active in the campaign will be handing in a petition of over 3,500 local signatories. It now triggers a special session of the council calling for a Bristol no evictions policy for people in arrears due to the bedroom tax.

There will also be speeches, and we have requested that the Mayor will attend to receive the petition.
